Abiove Estimates Brazilian Soy Production in 2025/26 at 178.5 mt

In their first assessment of the 2025/26 Brazilian soybean crop, the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) is estimating a production of 178.5 million tons, which is an increase of 3.9% compared to 2024/25. They also revised upward their estimate of the 2024/25 crop by 1.5 million tons to 171.8 million. Conab is estimating the 2025/26 soybean production at 177.6 million tons.

Abiove estimates that Brazil will export 111 million tons of soybeans in 2025/26 which is up 1.4% compared to 2024/25. Domestic crush in 2026 is expected to be 60.5 million tons which is up 3.4% compared to 2025.

Meal exports in 2026 are expected to be 24.6 million tons or up 4.2%. Meal production is expected to be 46.6 million tons, up 3.3%. Soybean oil production is forecasted to be up 3.8% to 12.15 million tons with domestic consumption up 4.8% to 11 million tons. Domestic consumption is up due to increased blend of biodiesel from B14 to B15.
